An Automatic Stay will stop all actions against the debtor once the Bankruptcy Petition/Schedules are filed.
Creditors cannot call or mail you demanding payment, they cannot start or continue lawsuits, garnishments or other
collection activities until the Automatic Stay is lifted. Secured creditors will get the Stay lifted if you cannot make
payments on the underlining loan or debt.
